Victor established Rivergum Homes in 1994, and has guided its growth to become one of the building industry’s high performers.

Ryan joined Rivergum in 2018 as the QLD General Manager and following a relocation to Adelaide in 2020, was appointed CEO of the Rivergum Group. Ryan is an experienced property executive with proven expertise and detailed knowledge across a number of uses including; low, medium and high density residential, land subdivisions, aged care and NDIS.


Prior to joining Rivergum, Ryan was responsible for the delivery of thousands of residential dwellings across Australia as well as a number of high profile retail and mix-use developments for major clients such as Macquarie Bank, Dubai Properties, Stockland, Lend Lease, DHA and Jones Lang LaSalle. Ryan commenced his career as a Development & Project Manager and following a period of working internationally, including within the UAE, Ryan assumed senior leadership roles within large residential developer/builders, most notably National Manager for Devine Homes (QLD, VIC & SA), General Manager (with Development Director responsibilities) for Kerdic - a high volume, private QLD Developer/Builder - as well as Clarendon Homes QLD Operations Manager. 


Ryan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Property Economics), a Diploma of Project Management, a Cert. IV in Building & Construction and builders licences in QLD, VIC and SA.”

Marie Whealy


Marie Whealy - Chief Financial Officer


Marie is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide.


She has a strong property finance background, having worked previously with KPMG in their “Real Estate, Construction” division, The GPT Group (Top ASX Listed REIT) as their Funds Management CFO, McGrath Real Estate (ASX Listed) as their CFO and most recently, Landcom (NSW’s equivalent to Renewal SA) as their ‘Director, Finance and Operations’ for the past 5 years. As our CFO, Marie’s key focus areas will be; Finance, Risk & Compliance and IT.

Tony Scott


Tony is one of the pioneers and most experienced operatives in South Australia in the delivery of small lot innovative housing. Tony has more than 10 years property experience in residential developments and built-form. Tony has led, and been involved in the delivery of a range of successful development projects from high quality master planned communities to purpose designed medium density outcomes, such as the multi award winning projects Town Life Living.

Tony’s time with Renewal SA as the Project Director of the State Government’s Lightsview urban renewal project led to a strong focus on collaborative partnership delivery models and opened a new chapter in the medium density market in SA.

With over 11 years of experience in the property industry and a Diploma in Project Management, Ren commenced his career specialising in residential project sales and marketing. Prior to joining Rivergum in 2016, Ren worked across South Australia’s largest and most successful residential projects including the Lightsview Joint Venture (Peet & Renewal SA), Bowden Redevelopment (Renewal SA & numerous private apartment developers), Playford Alive Project (Renewal SA) and the West Franklin Adelaide CBD Apartment complex (Greaton).


After winning the Urban Development Institute (SA) Stuart Main Scholarship for Young Developer of the Year in 2013, Ren quickly progressed into a project management position, overseeing numerous apartment, land subdivision, medium density and infill projects in South Australia. Since joining Rivergum as Development Manager, Ren has successfully managed and delivered over $90million in projects including medium density infill projects in Mount Barker, Royal Park, Port Adelaide, Klemzig and St Clair.

Murat brings a broad wealth of experience to our team having specialised in a vast range of facets of property and construction sectors throughout his career. Before joining Rivergum in early 2019, Murat has worked for numerous publicly listed and private companies such as Mirvac, Fraser’s Property and Devine Limited in both residential and commercial built form deliveries. Having trained as an architect in early years of his career, Murat is equipped with all around skillsets to be able to deliver projects from inception to finalisation in a Development Manager capacity in our Victorian office.  


Murat holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture and registered with Architects Registration Board of Victoria as well as a Diploma of Project Management.

Duncan Lock



Duncan Lock - General Manager Sales & Marketing


Duncan’s career in the residential property sector spans 25 years. He joined Rivergum in 2018 after 11 years with Peet (formerly CIC Australia), 7 years with Adelaide-based Kinsmen Limited, and various asset management roles, including residential sales, prior. His experience spans numerous land developments and integrated housing projects in South Australia, Northern Territory and Victoria.


Duncan has specific experience and interest in medium density inner urban development, particularly with regard to small lot housing innovation. He has contributed to numerous multi-award winning developments such as Lightsview (SA), and large master planned residential communities such as Sunday, Aldinga Beach (SA), Lyons (NT), Mitchell Creek Estate (NT), Bluestone Mt Barker (SA), and Tonsley Village (SA).


Duncan has tertiary qualifications in Economics (Flinders University) and Project Management (University of South Australia).


Chris Stewart


Chris Stewart - Building Manager


Chris commenced with Rivergum in 2019 as National Building Manager, presiding over construction in both Victoria and South Australia for the Group. Chris is an experienced Construction Management Professional with extensive experience in managing multi-million dollar projects, from tier one medium-density/ILU projects to order-build housing within the residential sector. Chris has extensive practical experience, coupled with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the industry, current work practices and Work Health & Safety regulations promoting a zero harm culture, while ensuring high quality workmanship and customer service focus.  Prior to joining RGH Chris worked with Australand, Metricon Town Living and Porter Davis.


Chris holds a Diploma in Construction Management (RMIT) and a Certificate IV in Building and Construction (RMIT).


John Eckert


John Eckert  - National Design Consultant


John is recognised Australia-wide as a leading residential architect with particular skill and experience in medium density house and urban master planning. He has been responsible for the evolution and enhancement of Rivergum’s entire suite of home designs, ranging from the largest of suburban homes, small lot terrace housing and apartment development.

Prior to joining Rivergum, John held roles as Design Director with organisations such as AV Jennings, Mirvac, TECTVS Design Group and leading several integrated housing developments across Australia.


Ben Bolton


Ben Bolton - Architectural Design Manager 


Ben has lead the development of the businesses significant medium density product library and has particular and interest in integrated housing within the master planned and urban renewal environments.

Prior to joining Rivergum, Ben held national project architect roles with Mirvac and AV Jennings and his list of achievements includes St Clair (SA), Yarra’s Edge and Waverley Park in Victoria.
